This is the first video in our Cinema Supercut Series. Each volume will explore a different theme in film using visuals and some music. This one focuses on dance and its representation and repetition in movies. Sometimes it's obvious like Tarantino borrowing the dance scene in Fellini's 8 1/2 for Pulp Fiction. Other times it's more subtle. Colour, Lighting, Mise-en-scène, camera shot/angle, choreography or a combination of these. Even self parody like Tom Cruise tilting his hat in Tropic Thunder to his performance in Risky Business 25 years earlier.
